Coconut wood

Hand-turned from the tree trunk wood of fallen coconut trees. The coconut tree grows abundantly in Sri Lanka and plays a big part in its economy. Every part of the tree is used as well as the delicious coconut itself - the shell; the palm leaves (for roofing and baskets); and the tree trunk wood. These coconut wood products have a simple, rustic charm and an unusual, striking grain. Each item is stained with a preservative wax, and finished with an environmentally-friendly and food-safe water-based polish. The bigger bowls are ideal for fruit, bread rolls and salads, while the smaller ones are suitable for snacks such as crisps and nuts.
