These newspaper mats are handmade in Sri Lanka using a simple material - newspaper. They are ingeniously wound together using craft glue, which when dried gives the mats a protective coating, making them surprisingly durable. They are suitable for all serving dishes except scalding hot, and add a rustic look to the dining table. They make great display mats for plant pots and other ornaments - and as wall decorations too. Wipe clean only.
