Traditional scenes: Coconut oil production - painting on paper; framed

This scene shows the traditional method for making coconut oil, using a pair of oxen to rotate a huge grinding machine from which the oil is collected via a tap at the bottom. With the ubiquitous banana plant in the background, the two workers provide Sri Lanka's staple cooking ingredient. Painted on paper with a simple wooden frame ready to hang, the picture can easily be removed and reframed with mounts according to your choice.
