Traditional scenes: Fishermen - painting on paper; framed

Fishermen haul in the day's catch onto the beach using a huge net with help from two men in a boat. Reminiscent of fishing scenes all around the island to this day, these fishermen are most likely from Negombo, the Christian capital of Sri Lanka, as indicated by the crosses they are wearing around their necks. This is a legacy from the arrival of the Portuguese in the 16th century and their influence around coastal areas. Painted on paper with a simple wooden frame ready to hang, the picture can easily be removed and reframed with mounts according to your choice.
